Randolph in town Wednsday!

June 11th, 7:30pm - Hastings, MN. The Randolph Railcats come to town tonight to take on the hawks in CCVL action, 7:30 tonight at vets.

Hawks ace the Aces!

June 8th, 2pm - Red Wing, MN. Hastings travelled to Red Wing to take on the Aces in a CCVL matchup and walked away with a narrow victory winning 1-0. This is their first win in a tough CCVL section. They are now 1-5 in the section and 8-7 over all.

The only run scored in the game came in the 8th when #27 - Austin LaDoux knocked in #25 - Eric Harris. #39 - Jaryd Marks went the distance on the mound allowing 3 hits, walking 2 and fanning 4.

Next Hawks Action is Wednesday night in Hastings Against Rosetown A's.

Hawks VS Mudhens!

June 6th, 7:30pm - Hastings, MN. The Miesville Mudhens came to town to take on the Hawks in a CCVL match up. The game started poorly for the Hawks. #14 - Josh Stuempert was on the mound and struggled early, lasting only 1 and 2/3 innings. In that short time, he walked 5 batters and allowed 5 earned runs. #22 - Jose Velez took over in early relief and finished the game strong. Velez struck out 8 and only allowed one run in the eighth the rest of the game.

Unfortunately, the early hole was dug just a tad too deep for the Hawks to climb out of. Eric Olson went the distance for Miesville, allowing 5 runs on 9 hits. The Hawks attempted comeback was lead by #20 - Drew Flack (2 for 4) and #9 - Nick Horsch (2 for 3 & a Walk).

Next Hawks Action is Sunday June 8th at Redwing for another CCVL Matchup at 2pm

Hawks VS Bay City Bombers Wednesday!

June 4th, 7:30pm - Hastings, MN. The Bay city bombers flew into town trying to avenge this years first meeting where the Hawks won 14-4. This game did not end much better. Hastings took the lead 2-0 in the first and never looked back.

#18 - Spencer Diedrich hit a solo home run in the bottom of the 6th for the 10th and final run. 10 Hawks players walked in the truncated game that ended due to the 10 run rule after 7.

Defensively, #28 - Kyle Fritz went the distance on the mound for his second shut out in a row. This time only allowing 2 hits, with 2 walks and striking out 14!

Next hawks action is this Friday night taking on the Miesville Mudhens.

Hawks at Randolph Postponed

June 1st, 2:00pm - Randolph MN. The Hastings Hawks were scheduled to flock to Randolph to take on the Railcats sunday but the game has been postponed due to weather. This is a CCVL game, so will it will be made up at a later date.

Lyons Pub VS Hastings Cancelled

May 31st, 7:30pm - Veterans Park in Hastings. The Lyons Pub Warriors were scheduled to ride into town tonight to take on the Hawks tonight, but the game has been cancelled due to the approaching storms.

May 30th, 7:30pm - Veterans Park in Hastings. The Lake City Serpents slithered into town to take on the Hastings Hawks and left with a loss. The game started out as a pitchers duel for the first 3 innings. Brett Gwaltney of the Serpents and #14 - Josh Stuempert of the Hawks allowed only one hit each until the 4th. #25 - Eric Harris led off with a base hit to shallow right and #7 - Deryk Marks singled up the middle. #27 - Austin LaDoux hit a deep sac fly to center moving the runner to scoring and a Wild Pitch allowed Harris to score. #22 - Jose Velez hit a single to left, scoring marks and giving the Hawks a 2-0 lead.

Lake city tied the game at 2 a piece in the top of the 7th, but the Hawks took the lead right back, scoring 1 in the bottom of the 7th on another wild pitch. They added 2 more runs in the 8th for some security.

Defensively, Stuempert threw 6 solid innings and fought his way out of a tough 7th to log the win, striking out 8 and walking 2. Velez earned the save in relief, striking out 5, walking none.

Next Hawks action is weather permitting on Saturday 5/31/14 at 7:30pm in Hastings against Lyon's Pub Warriors. Forecast says 100% chance of rain as of 11:00pm Friday, It's not looking good. Keep an eye on our twitter account and here for cancellations.

The bats come alive vs St. Paul Mudhens!

May 28th, 7:30pm - Hastings, MN. St. Paul Mudhens braved the bridge traffic and made it just in time to fall to the Hawks 10-0 in 8 innings. The first Hawks run came in the 1st inning as #4 Jordy Horsch (Hastings) scored from 3rd on a single by #27 Austin LaDoux (Hastings). The Final run scored on a blooper single to right field by #2 Shawn Matson (Hastings).

Offensively for the Hawks, 10 out of 12 players had at least one hit. Matson and #28 Kyle Fritz (Cottage Grove) both went 1 for 1 in the 8th. LaDoux went 3 for 4, #25 Eric Harris (Hastings) went 3 for 5 and four players went 2 for 4.

Defensively, Kyle Fritz went the distance on the mound and earned the 6 hit shutout in 8. Fritz threw 132 pitches of which 82 were strikes/fouls and he fanned 9 batters.

Elko Express Win 6-2

May 21st, 7:30pm - Hastings, MN The Hastings Hawks fell to the Elko Express on a beautiful night for baseball. The final score was 6-2. Details this weekend.

Hawks defeat Plum City 7-5

May 9th, 7:30pm - Hastings, MN The Hastings Hawks earned their second win, 7-5 over the Plum City Blues at Veterans Park on Friday. Jack Day gets the win with Beau Jernberg notching the save. Deryk Marks blasted his first HR of the year.

Hawks next action is Saturday May 10th at Bay City for a 3pm matinee game. Then on Sunday, the Hawks travel to Cannon Falls to face the Bears in the CCVL opener.

Hawks Fall to Wanamingo 5-4 

May 7th, 7:00pm - Hastings, MN - Hawks Vs Wanamingo Jacks:

The Wanamingo Jacks gave the Hawks their first loss of the season with a score of 5-4. #14 - Brian Olson took the mound for the Hawks. Olson gave up 2 runs in the first but settled in nicely until the 6th when he gave up 2 more before being replaced by #34 - Jeryd Marks. Olson Struck out 5 and walked 4 with an era of 6.00.

Hawks win Home Opener 5-2

May 3rd, 7:00pm - Hastings, MN - Hawks Vs Pine Island Pioneers : No Stream Available.

All winter we've been waiting through the crazy weather and long cold streaks and the finally arrived!

Jack Day took the mound for the Hawks and earned the win while Jaryd Marks notched the save. More details to follow.

Next game Wednesday May 7th at 7pm against the Wanamingo Jacks.

The forecast is clear as of right now, but the damage may have already been done. All the rain makes the field very soft. It has not had a chance to dry up yet to get solid from the snow melting. Parks Director Chris Jenkins is assessing the field and will give us an update by Friday.

Pressbox Construction plans Tentatively Set!

That's right! 2 years of planning are all coming to fruition! The problem is Mother Nature is not cooperating very well. She always has her own agenda for things it seems.

Tentative construction was set to start 4/24/14 thanks to a bunch of awesome vendors donating time and people! Unfortunately, all the rain has delayed the construction significantly. Watch the site for updates. We will get a list up as soon as we can and of course, update you here when things are happening!

2014 Schedule is set!

The 2014 Season schedule is up! Our first game (weather permitting) is THIS SATURDAY!

Spring Park Clean up for Hastings.

Our home opener falls on the same day as the City of Hastings is looking for volunteers to clean up parks!

Details can be found here. We hope you can take time to clean up a park or 2 in the morning and come to the game in the evening.

Our 2014 Board of Directors

Elections were held in October 2013 for our board of directors.

Doug Weimer stepped down as president but remained on the board.
Jon Millbrandt stepped down as treasurer but remained on the board.
Brian Schommer stepped down as secretary but remained on the board.
Tom Moriarty - At Large Member and Carly Homan - Concessions Manager both resigned from the board completely. We wish them the best in their future endeavors and thank them for their service!

Our new President is Bruce Karnick. Bruce was the Promotions director for the 2013 season. He helped design the Game Day Program and this website. He will retain his promotional responsibilities and take on the role of Team President.

Our Vice President is Doug Weimer. Doug took the VP role to help the transition of our new President to the board as well as to continue to offer his expertise as needed.

Our new Secretary/ Treasurer is Amie Kaiser. Amie brings years of experience in the professional world to the secretary position and will do an excellent job for the board!

Our new Concessions Manager is Brian Schommer. Brian is a successful business man in the Hastings Community and has great ideas on how to make our already successful concession stand even better!
